M4 Plastics — Measuring, Monitoring, Modeling and Managing of Plastics in Flowing Waters
Join us for an interdisciplinary workshop focused on the pressing issue of plastics in riverine and freshwater systems. The program includes expert presentations from diverse research fields, a guided laboratory visit, and a field trip offering hands-on insights into practical monitoring and assessment techniques.

The event consists of two and half days and includes:

Keynote on the role citizen science and knowledge sharing by Attila Dávid Molnár

Open lecture and discussion on the future of laboratory plastics research

Open lecture on plastics transport modelling challenges

Laboratory visits of the Department of Polymer Engineering at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics

Field Day to visit the first Riversaver Centre of Plastic Cup Society, a model location to tackle plastic pollution of rivers and upcycling
-
Plenty of time for discussion and networking.
Selection of succesfull applications will be announced September, 12th.
