The purpose of the visual identity handbook is to provide an application guide that brings together BME’s current identity elements and ensures a unified communication framework for editing principles used on both internal and external communication platforms.
In addition to the consistent and relatively strict use of the fundamental identity elements – logo, font type, and primary color – the freshness, flexibility, and dynamism of communication materials can be enhanced through thoughtfully selected, theme‑appropriate imagery, as well as a color and form language that remains adaptable to the habits of the target audiences, thereby offering a more constructive and effective communication toolkit.
Below we provide access to the elements relevant to the faculty, including the Faculty of Civil Engineering’s PowerPoint template, which follows the central BME visual identity, as well as the faculty’s renewed logo introduced in 2025. The department logos are also available on this page; these received a uniform color scheme in 2024.

In any publication, the author must indicate:
the official, full name of their department within the university,
followed by the official, full name of the institute OR the faculty,
and finally the official, full name of the university

When indicating a research group (e.g., hosted groups or groups supported by external organisations, or departmental research groups), two separate affiliations must be provided: first the BME (departmental) affiliation, followed by the research group.

For “external” doctoral candidates and for participants of the Cooperative Doctoral Program, two separate affiliations must be indicated: the host department at BME and the external research institution. If the doctoral candidate receives a scholarship through BME (state scholarship, Stipendium Hungaricum, or the Cooperative Doctoral Program), the BME affiliation must appear first.
