The educational objective of the specialization is to train engineers who possess state-of-the-art civil engineering knowledge in the design, construction, and operation of nuclear power plants and their associated facilities.

In addition to the specialized materials science, structural, geotechnical, building construction, hydraulic engineering, environmental, and geodetic methods applied in nuclear power plants and related facilities, students acquire fundamental knowledge in the fields of nuclear safety, next-generation reactor technology, fire safety, occupational health and safety, and quality assurance.

The aim is to educate students who, as civil and architectural engineers, understand the activities of the various technical disciplines involved during the design, construction, and operation of nuclear power plants, thereby enabling them to cooperate effectively with these disciplines.
